Korean entertainment company YG Entertainment has confirmed that all four members of Blackpink have extended their contracts, ensuring that the group will continue making music. The agency is currently in discussions with Blackpink regarding exclusive contracts for their individual activities. This announcement led to a surge in YG’s stock prices, with shares rising by as much as 29% in a single day. Blackpink is planning to release a new album and embark on a world tour under YG’s management. YG founder Yang Hyun Suk expressed his satisfaction with the contract renewal, stating that Blackpink will strive to achieve even greater success in the global music market.
