GOT7 Reportedly Preparing for a Group Comeback
December 2, 2024
All seven members of GOT7 are reportedly preparing a new album set to be released next year. According to Osen via Naver on Saturday (November 30), GOT7 has already entered the recording phase. However, details regarding the exact comeback date and album release are still under discussion, with speculation pointing to late January 2025.
JAY B is currently active with his solo project, having released Archive1: [Road Runner] on November 27, marking his first full-length solo album since debuting as a musician in 2014.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung appeared as a presenter at the Blue Dragon Film Awards 2024 on Friday (November 29). Yugyeom recently released his first solo album and has completed tours both domestically and internationally, including in Indonesia.
BamBam has gained global recognition through his third mini-album and appearances on various variety shows. Youngjae successfully concluded his Asia tour and fan meetings in Japan, with plans to continue his international activities. Jackson, who previously embarked on a world tour, remains active in China, while Mark has released several singles.
If confirmed, this upcoming album would mark their first group project since the release of the GOT7 album in May 2022 under Warner Korea, following their departure from JYP Entertainment.
In 2021, after leaving JYP Entertainment, the seven members joined different agencies but reaffirmed their commitment to staying together, stating, “GOT7 has not disbanded.”
Thanks to JAY B’s efforts, the group now holds full trademark rights to GOT7, including its units, since their departure from JYP Entertainment three years ago.
