Nominees like Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez, Timothée Chalamet, and Mikey Madison hit the red carpet serving modern Hollywood glam—with a fresh twist.

Fashion Moments We’re Obsessed With

The night wasn’t just about winning trophies—it was about making statements. Cate Blanchett turned heads by rewearing her stunning gold Louis Vuitton gown from Cannes last year. (Sustainable fashion queen? We think yes. ) Meanwhile, Ariana Grande gave us all the feels with a buttery yellow vintage Givenchy couture gown from 1966. Talk about timeless elegance.

Then there was Zendaya, who shut down the carpet in custom Louis Vuitton. The look—styled by the legendary Law Roach—was a tribute to Joyce Bryant, the trailblazing Black singer and fashion icon of the 1940s. When your outfit has a message and looks this good? Total win.

The Boys Brought It, Too

Let’s talk about the guys, because they were not playing. Colman Domingo wowed in a sleek Valentino tux with a bow-wrapped necktie that oozed sophistication. Timothée Chalamet? Classic skinny tie vibes in an ultra-slim Tom Ford suit, channeling his Bob Dylan role in A Complete Unknown.

But Jeremy Strong? He had so much fun with style and rocked a minty green suit and a matching bucket hat. Yes, a bucket hat. Love it or hate it, you know you’re talking about it.

Now, It’s Your Turn

We’ve rounded up the best looks from the 2025 Golden Globes below. Who nailed it? Who stole the show? Cast your vote and let us know who you think deserves the ultimate best-dressed title this year.

Stay tuned, because the season is just getting started

Clad in a princely ensemble custom-made by Burberry, the Thai star made his debut on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art today

Bright Vachirawit has just made his starry debut on the Met Gala 2024 red carpet. With his appearance, the Thai heartthrob—best known for his leading roles in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers2Gether: The Series, and romcom flick Forget My Ex!—is notably the first-ever Thai artist to make his appearance at the annual fundraiser event. Understandably, the landmark event is a formidable milestone for the actor, but for those well-acquainted with his global stardom in recent years, the Met can be said to have been par for the course for the rising fashion name.

After all, the Thai actor’s initial inklings with the industry can be traced back to the summer of  2022—when Burberry first announced Vachirawit as its global ambassador. In continuing his relationship with the British fashion house, he has become a familiar face in front row at the maison’s seasonal fashion shows and is a common attendee at regional brand events, one that is no doubt attributed to his influence worldwide.

Bright in Burberry

Naturally, he made his Met Gala debut fully clad in Burberry—custom-designed by Daniel Lee, certifying his station as a treasured friend of the house. For fashion’s big night, Lee outfitted him in a sharp, princely ensemble: a pleated georgette jacket embroidered with tonal bullion, contrasted against a netted, gold inner. A sleek spot of tailoring comes through his silk trousers, and the whole look is completed by a structural pair of square-toed loafers for good measure.

A sketch of Vachirawit’s ensemble for the evening.

Delivering a look that merged contemporary polish with the British codes of the storied house, there’s no doubt that Vachirawit’s appearance on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art was one that felt utterly cosmic. Given his undeniable status as the first Thai celebrity to grace the event, we can hold hope that more Asian faces will be welcomed to the Met crowd in time to come. This decisive match-up stands as a beacon of progress.

Every year, the Met Gala red carpet produces some of the most memorable celebrity fashion moments of all time. Tonight’s affair in New York City—themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”—was certainly no different, with a bevy of A-listers hitting the red carpet in custom creations. The night’s very best dressed attendees were those who paid homage to this year’s theme (and “the garden of time” dress code)—doing so in both thoughtful and unexpected ways.

Of course, all of the official 2024 Met Gala co-hosts made the best dressed list. Zendaya turned heads in not one but two striking looks—including her custom Margiela look, and a vintage Givenchy dress from the house’s spring 1996 collection. Jennifer Lopez opted for a sparkling Schiaparelli number; while and Chris Hemsworth a sleek Tom Ford one.

lorals, unsurprisingly, proved to be the breakout look of the night. Celebrities transformed into high-fashion bouquets in a variety of ways. There was Nicki Minaj in a Marni dress covered in hand-painted metal flowers, and Gigi Hadid in a Thom Browne three-dimensional floral ballgown. Adwoah Aboah, meanwhile, had the night’s best maternity moment—in a red floral H&M look that included a crop top and full skirt.

Some of the night’s more unexpected—and way more avant-garde—moments shined, too, proving that the best dressed celebrities of the nights didn’t have to be in florals. Lana Del Rey, for one, brought forward the drama in a veiled Alexander McQueen look with an antlered headpiece; it was a thoughtful homage to the late designer’s iconic fall 2006 collection. Tyla also transformed herself into a sand sculpture—via an extremely-fitted Balmain gown that was like a second skin.

Well, here us the list of best dressed stars from The Met Gala 2024 based on our opinion. Which one is your favourite?

Zendaya, known for her themed promotional outfits, has taken her styling game to new heights with tenniscore ensembles for her film “Challengers.” Styled by Law Roach, she has seamlessly integrated elements of her character—a former tennis prodigy turned coach—into her wardrobe.

At the UK premiere on April 10, Zendaya dazzled in a Thom Browne gown adorned with embroidered tennis racquets, complemented by a classic white bow and sparkling Bvlgari jewels. The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino and co-starring Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, offers a perfect backdrop for her thematic dressing approach.

This isn’t the first time Zendaya has employed method dressing; she previously adopted similar strategies during the “Dune: Part Two” promotions. Her recent appearances have significantly bolstered the ‘tenniscore’ trend. Starting with her viral appearance at the BNP Paribas Open in California, where she sported a chic white tennis skirt and sweater, Zendaya has consistently embraced the sport’s aesthetic. In Paris, she opted for a tennis green co-ord set, and in Australia, she turned heads with a sequinned gown reflecting a tennis player’s silhouette.

Her standout look in Rome featured a custom Loewe dress inspired by tennis gear, complete with tennis-ball heels, underscoring her commitment to thematic dressing. In Paris, she paired a Louis Vuitton chequered coat-dress with white pumps and an Alice band, echoing vintage tennis fashion.

Zendaya’s fashion-forward approach not only highlights her role in “Challengers” but also marks a significant moment for the intersection of sports and high fashion. With tennis aesthetics gaining momentum, Zendaya’s appearances have played a crucial role in revitalizing the tenniscore trend, further underscored by a surge in tennis-themed fashion items and pleated skirts, according to trend forecasting agency WGSN.

Tenniscore is basically a fashion aesthetic that draws inspiration from the classic and sporty attire typically worn on the tennis courts. It’s characterized by clean lines, a preppy vibe, and a palette that often includes whites, pastels, and the occasional pop of color like navy or green. Key elements of this style include pleated skirts, polo shirts, cable-knit sweaters, and varsity jackets, paired often with accessories like visors, tennis shoes, and sweatbands.

Today, tenniscore is more than just sportswear; it’s a fashion statement that embodies a lifestyle of health, vitality, and effortless elegance.

As sports and luxury fashion continue to merge, Zendaya’s innovative style celebrates the dynamic fusion of athleticism and glamour, proving that the tenniscore trend is here to stay and to slay!

In Todd Phillips’s take on the Joker, the character is portrayed as exceptionally disturbed, sparking debates among critics about the implications of such a portrayal amid ongoing violence in the United States.

Adding Lady Gaga to the sequel appears to be a strategic move to attract more female viewers to the theaters. Lady Gaga is not only a global pop icon but also an accomplished actress. She was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in “A Star Is Born” (2018), and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Shallow” from the same movie. More recently, in 2022, her role in “House of Gucci” was notably overlooked, despite her acclaimed performance.

Harley Quinn the Clown Criminal

The first glimpse of Lady Gaga as Quinn was as dramatic as any Hollywood blockbuster. While Margot Robbie’s vibrant, playful portrayal of Quinn in “Suicide Squad” has won many fans, Gaga seems to be charting a different course. Teaming up with Arianne Phillips, the renowned costume designer celebrated for her work in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “A Single Man,” Gaga’s version of Quinn presents a grittier, more worn look. Dressed in a red satin blazer with tulle sleeves, paired with a corset top, a leather mini skirt, and sheer tights, all adorned with the character’s iconic harlequin diamond print, her ensemble conveys a compellingly tawdry vibe.

Harley Quinn the Arkham Asylum Patient

From the outset, Lady Gaga’s portrayal of Harley Quinn introduces a fresh take on the iconic Clown Princess of Crime. Notably, she’s depicted as a patient at Arkham, deviating significantly from her traditional backstory where she started as Joker’s psychiatrist in “Batman: The Animated Series” before descending into villainy. This alteration positions her more on par with the Joker, adding a unique twist to her character.

Furthermore, the dynamics between Harley and Joker seem reversed in this adaptation. According to a popular fan theory, it’s Harley who entices the Joker back into his criminal ways, a stark contrast to their usual relationship dynamics. Scenes from the trailer where Harley applies Joker’s makeup, traces his smile on a glass divider during a visit, and her whispering, “I want to see the real you,” all suggest that Harley might be the driving force behind Joker’s return to villainy. This role reversal makes Gaga’s Harley a potentially more manipulative and pivotal character in the storyline. FYI, Folie à Deux, is French for “madness shared by two people”.

During the early-mid 2000s, there was a time when New York seemed to be at the epicenter of the fashion world. The internet broke down the barriers of the industry, making once exclusive runways accessible to a wider audience. While fashion centers in Europe resisted this democratization, New York embraced it wholeheartedly. It was a glamorous and star-studded affair, with celebrities in the front row, reality shows, designer collaborations for the mass market, bloggers (to some extent), and the iconic fashion tents. However, this era had its limitations and became somewhat one-dimensional.

Over the years, New York Fashion Week has experienced fragmentation and struggles as it tries to redefine itself. As the European luxury market expands and becomes more expensive, commerciality has become a dominant force. In contrast, in New York, it feels like the opposite effect is taking place.

For emerging and independent labels, building a successful business and turning a profit is an incredibly challenging task, mainly because the industry’s traditional infrastructure doesn’t provide much support for emerging talent. This season, both established and emerging labels exude a gritty determination. It’s a quality that is unique to New York City, born from the city’s demanding and relentless hustle.

The timing is ideal for brands to focus on their own identities. According to McKinsey’s “The State of Fashion 2024” report, brands will need to move away from performance marketing and instead concentrate on nurturing personal and emotional connections with customers.

Willy Chavarria and Hillary Taymour of Collina Strada are two designers who have carved their own paths while also understanding how to expand their reach. Chavarria, in particular, has revolutionized American Ivy prep by making it accessible to those who have traditionally been excluded. He has become a beloved figure in the city, offering a fresh perspective. Chavarria’s skillful tailoring, exemplified by his baggy, flowing wool houndstooth trousers or double-breasted jacket with pronounced shoulders, opens up a world of possibilities for individuals who have felt marginalized in the predominantly white world of Americana fashion. In Willy Chavarria’s United States, clothing reflects reality but is filtered through a lens of fantasy, resulting in a unique blend of the provocative and the practical.

On the contrary, Taymour always approaches things with a sense of humor. In her latest collection, she played with the concept of feminine strength by incorporating mini dresses with padded biceps and shoulders. One model even sported psychedelic print shorts while carrying dumbbells made from kombucha squash instead of traditional weights. As always, Taymour’s casting included a diverse mix of her friends and chosen family, with one woman holding a baby and another visibly pregnant. Taymour has consistently stayed true to her vision and commitment to sustainability. She remains unwavering in her principles and has yet to seek external investment for her brand, which can be found at various retailers ranging from Nordstrom to SSENSE.

Sometimes we may be perplexed by unique dressing styles during many Fashion Week, but for fashion enthusiasts, confidence is important.

New York, typically known for its grey concrete and towering skyscrapers, has undergone a remarkable transformation. As we dive headfirst into the fall/winter 2024 calendar of New York Fashion Week, fashion-forward individuals have been flocking to the streets outside the shows like moths drawn to a flame. Helmut Lang set the tone, while Peter Do presented his second collection for the brand. Do drew inspiration from the iconic designer’s archives, incorporating playful ‘Chinatown bag’ prints, vibrant orange knits, and even the famous bubble wrap jacket, which Do reimagined in luxurious silk.

At Eckhaus Latta, a movement toward minimalism was evident, delivered with an undeniable sensuality. The collection featured knits that accentuated the body, acid wash garments, and strategically placed slashes that revealed just the right amount of skin. For those seeking the irresistible taste of New York cool, Tommy Hilfiger’s show on the first evening of NYFW was the place to be. The runway showcased the brand’s signature pieces such as crewnecks, varsity jackets, and polo shirts, updated with a preppy and essential twist that perfectly aligned with the chic and modern ambiance of its star-studded front row. Rumor has it that Lily van der Woodsen was spotted among the attendees.

On the streets, fashion enthusiasts embraced the sun’s appearance, bidding farewell to heavy coats and furs and opting for lightweight trenches and tailored blazers instead. Playful layering techniques incorporated various textures and vibrant pops of color. Classic patterns like pinstripes and plaids, along with occasional bows, continued to captivate the fashion crowd.

Explore the most fabulous moments of street style from the fall/winter 2024 cycle of New York Fashion Week below, as captured by Phil Oh, capturing the electrifying buzz surrounding it all.

The popularity of quilted crossbody bags remains strong and enduring. Luxury brands like Gucci and Dior offer luxurious versions of these bags, while more affordable options can be found at COS. Personally, I have a vivid memory of the first time I ran my hand over a Chanel bag with its iconic diamond stitching.

According to Karin Gustafsson, design director at COS, quilting is a technique commonly used in outerwear and other garments that has naturally transitioned into accessories. Through their design processes, COS utilizes this craft to experiment with the shape and volume of a classic bag. While quilting doesn’t determine the bag’s puffiness, it adds depth and texture that can make even a simple black rectangular bag feel fresh and exciting.

As someone who frequently commutes on the New York subway, a functional crossbody bag is essential. However, the addition of quilting patterns and other fun details inspire me to invest in something new. If you’re looking for recommendations, I have compiled a list of my current top fifteen favorite quilted crossbody bags, including the popular COS bag.
