As a devoted fan of daytime television, I couldn’t wait to see which of my favorite shows and stars would take home the coveted golden statuettes.
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the remarkable achievement of the legendary Dick Van Dyke. At the ripe young age of 98, the iconic actor became the oldest-ever winner of a Daytime Emmy, taking home the award for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for his work on “Days of Our Lives”¹. Can you believe it? This man has been entertaining us for generations, and he just proved that age is nothing but a number when it comes to talent and dedication.
But Dick Van Dyke wasn’t the only one making waves at the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards.
