Cha Eunwoo is headed to Netflix soon. Announced by the streamer on November 1, 2024, the ASTRO star has joined the cast of a new “turn-of-the-century superpower comedy” K-drama, The WONDERfools, alongside Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s Park Eunbin.
Over the last few years, Netflix has been expanding its South Korean repertoire with multiple variety shows and K-dramas to boot, and with the announcement of The WONDERfools, it looks like 2025 will be no different. From the premise alone, it seems like the show will be somewhat of a first for Cha Eunwoo, who rose to prominence in the K-drama scene with swoon-worthy roles in titles like True Beauty and My ID is Gangnam Beauty.
According to a small synopsis shared by Netflix, The WONDERfools will be a “superpower comedy action adventure” set in 1999 — what Netflix calls “the doomsday-fearing year 1999.” The WONDERfools will follow “a group of awkward townies who unexpectedly gain superpowers and fight villains threatening the peace of Haeseong city.”
The show will be directed by Yoo Insik, who is also behind Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Dr. Romantic, with a script by Extreme Job’s Huh Dahjoong. The show was created by Kang Eunkyung, who is known for Gyeongseong Creature and Dr. Romantic. As confirmed by Netflix, the series is being produced by NANGMANCREW, Kakao Entertainment, and co-produced by Cha Eunwoo and ASTRO’s management company FANTAGIO.
The WONDERfools will star Park Eunbin and Cha Eunwoo. Additional casting includes Gyeongseong Creature’s Kim Haesook, Choi Daehoon, Im Seongjae, and Son Hyunjoo. The best part is that we already know quite a bit about their characters as well.

Park Eunbin will play Eun Chaeni, who’s described as both “charming and funny” as well as “Haeseong city’s biggest trainwreck.” Chaeni will be one of the people who will gain superpowers through a mysterious event.
Cha Eunwoo will be Lee Woonjung, who’s described as “a socially awkward civic servant from Seoul” as well as “a man of principles and a stickler for rules at work” and “mysterious.” We’ve rarely seen Eunwoo in this type of “misfit” role, so anticipation is high. In the show, Woonjung will join Chaeni, trying to find missing people in Haeseong City.

Kim Haesook will be Chaeni’s grandmother, Kim Jeonbok, who owns a popular restaurant in the city. The two are all each other have. However, Haesook might not be all that it seems, as Netflix teases she “has a glamorous yet dark past.”
Choi Daehoon will play Son Kyunghoon, Haeseong City Hall’s chief complainer. Im Seongjae will be Kang Robin, who’s described as “Haeseong’s biggest pushover.” Much Chaeni, Kyunghoon and Seongjae will also obtain superpowers. The trio, despite not seeing eye to eye, will become Haeseong’s vigilantes together and set out to fight villains.
The series’ main antagonist will be Ha Wondo, played by Son Hyunjoo, who’s described as “a character with dark desires hidden behind a cold and rational exterior.”
For now, Netflix has only confirmed production for The WONDERfools, so the show is yet to be filmed. However, judging by general K-drama timeframes, it’s safe to assume The WONDERfools will arrive sometime in 2025.
Seeing as filming has not yet started, there is no trailer for Cha Eunwoo’s The WONDERfools at the time of writing, but check this space for updates!

It’s official: Season 5 of Stranger Things will be its last. Back in February 2022, the Duffer Brothers announced the news themselves in an open letter shared with fans alongside season 4’s official poster.
“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things,” the duo wrote in their letter. “At the time, we predicted the story would last four or five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”

The Duffer Brothers have served as the series creators and showrunners since Stranger Things premiered on Netflix back in 2016. Now, with a two-volume season 4 in the rearview, there’s only one chapter left to focus on for our favorite group of Hawkins kids.
“With nine scripts, over eight hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” the Duffer Brothers shared, calling the fourth season “the beginning of the end.” The duo also shared that the decision to split the season in two parts was due to its “unprecedented length” and to get it to fans “as soon as possible.”
At the moment, there is no trailer for Stranger Things season 5 — but on July 15, Netflix gifted us all with something special. The streamer dropped the very first look at Stranger Things 5 with never-before-seen set footage in celebration of the cast and crew reaching the halfway mark of filming.
“We’re about halfway through filming now, and it’s exciting,” series star Caleb McLaughlin says via voiceover in the clip. “There’s so much going on. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Stranger Things season 5.”
“I started when I was 10, I’m now turning 20 years old,” says Millie Bobby Brown entering the soundstage. “It feels very weird.”
The clip then takes us inside the lot where the show is filming, sharing sneak peeks of Linda Hamilton entering her trailer, Vecna’s return, Lucas and Max’s reunion, a slimy, menacing dark hole, walls engulfed by the vines of the Upside Down, Maya Hawke and Joe Keery, and so many more exciting reveals.
“Like every season, you never know what to expect. 100% the wait will be worth it,” says McLaughlin. Though awards season has only just begun, Jenner has been by Chalamet’s side since the actor started his press run for Wonka. As we previously noted, the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan jetted off to London to support Chalamet at the film’s world premiere, where she skipped the red carpet. She also reportedly used the back entrance to attend the Los Angeles premiere with momager Kris Jenner.
“Their feelings are very mutual, and they are very sweet with each other. They are each other’s cheerleaders in all facets of their lives,” the ET source added. “Even though Kylie has so many of her own commitments, she is very proud of Timothée and wants to be there for him and support him. Timothée is equally supportive of Kylie and admires her strong work ethic and how committed she is as a mom.”
The couple made another official appearance together at Golden Globes 2024, where reporter Kyle Buchanan noted early that they had their dinner placards set side-by-side. The pair were spotted hanging out backstage at the Globes, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and they then made it to their table during an early commercial break.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted a man who looked a lot like Timmy in the background of a video from the party shared by Travis Barker’s son, Landon Barker, on Snapchat. (You can see the photo for yourself here.) Adding to the speculation is the fact that the mystery man was captured chatting really close to Kylie Jenner.

So Kris Jenner has now seen her daughter’s boyfriend swim in chocolate. People reports that Kylie Jenner and her mom attended the Los Angeles premiere of the movie to support Timmy, apparently “slipping into the theater following the film’s opening credits.” Jenner has been a super supportive girlfriend during Chalamet’s entire press run for Wonka — this is the second premiere she’s attended for the film. On December 11, Jenner posted a selfie with her mom in the backseat of a car, headed out for a night on the town. “Mommy nights are the best nights,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. We wouldn’t be surprised if this post was a later-gram and the two Jenners were actually on their way to the Wonka premiere in the pics.
According to a source, anyway! Things keep moving right along between the Wonka star and the Kylie Cosmetics founder, and it appears they’ve (finally) put a label on their relationship. The source (Kris Jenner?) told People that Jenner is “incredibly happy” with “her boyfriend” and that her family loves him. He’s equally smitten; the source says Chalamet is “in awe of everything she is accomplishing” and “especially thinks she is an amazing mom.”
Though the pair both have a ton going on in their professional lives — major movies, clothing lines, filming a reality show, going to galas — they’re cool with it. “He is very supportive of her career and she of his,” the source shared. “They both try to attend important events for each other.” (Case in point: Jenner flying to London for the Wonka premiere and Chalamet popping up at the WSJ Innovator Awards, where Jenner was honored.)
Though we haven’t seen the two together in a hot minute, it seems like everything is going well for the pair. “He is very good for Kylie. Since dating him, she seems very content, relaxed and focused,” the source said. Does this mean Timmy is invited to the legendary Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Eve party this year? (Fingers crossed that he and Stormi are already planning their matching ‘fits.)

Chalamet might have been feeling the cold in his shirtless outfits at the Wonka world premiere in London, but it seems like he had someone there to keep him warm. Though she did not walk the red carpet alongside Chalamet, multiple eyewitnesses have confirmed Jenner made the trek from Calabasas to the British capital to support her boyfriend at his premiere screening.
TMZ and People have also confirmed Jenner joined Chalamet at the film’s after-party, which was attended by other Wonka stars, including Hugh Grant and Keegan-Michael Key. Of course, Jenner being Jenner, her commute to the U.K. wasn’t exactly discreet. Per TMZ, the beauty mogul touched down at Stansted Airport via her private jet. According to ET, Jenner was also spotted just “steps away” from Chalamet at the luxurious Corinthia Hotel in London, where the junket for the movie was taking place, wearing a “strapless black leather ensemble.”
After laying low for a while, Jenner and Chalamet were spotted together again at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City on November 1, where Jenner was honored with an award for her work with Kylie Cosmetics and her new clothing line Khy. As noted by People, Jenner and Chalamet didn’t pose on the red carpet together, but their looks did match, they were seated together at the dinner, and they were spotted chatting and laughing during the event.
Jenner wore a gorgeous strapless Ferragamo gown with a shiny latex bodice, while Chalamet opted for a black-on-black suit. According to People, designer Haider Ackermann referenced their relationship when presenting Jenner with her award, shouting out her “very attractive lover” in the audience. Given that the holidays are on the horizon, we have one question: Will Chalamet appear on the legendary Kardashian-Jenner Christmas card this year?
While posing for photos at the Prada show during Milan Fashion Week, Jenner gave a subtle nod to her boyfriend via her iPhone lock screen. Elle Mexico has the pics, and shared the images with the caption: “We meet Kylie Jenner upon her arrival at the fashion show @Prada in Milan and we couldn’t help but notice [her] wallpaper.”
Their photog caught her with her phone in hand, and the image on its background is very clearly a pic of Jenner and Chalamet in a very cozy, up close and personal moment together. He’s almost — but not quite — kissing her cheek in the zoomed-in couples selfie. (This is honestly really cute and relatable.) The pic probably makes Jenner smile every time she reaches for her phone.
Back in California, TMZ caught up with Chalamet in Beverly Hills and asked him about his romance with Jenner. While the actor didn’t answer the queries, but he did give a little smile when her name came up. It’s the subtlety for me.
The Beyoncé concert and U.S. Open appearances were super high profile for the new couple, but a source told ET that there’s a reason Jenner was OK debuting her relationship on such a public stage. According to the insider, the Kylie Cosmetics founder is “confident and secure” in her relationship with Chalamet and “feels like she can be herself with him,” which is something she values and enjoys.
The couple’s connection apparently runs a lot deeper than we may have initially thought, when rumors about the two first began to circulate. “Timothée is also a family man and they relate to each other about that,” the source explained. “Kylie’s friends and family think Timothée is great and love seeing her happy.” Once again, this is all coming from an unnamed source (Kris Jenner is that you?), so take it with a large grain of salt, but if Kylothée are happy, we’re happy.
In case you thought the Renaissance Tour videos were a fluke, the pair were spotted at NYFW events and the U.S. Open looking just as cozy — in matching outfits, no less. Now that the secret’s out, it’s time to admit that Kylothée is real, y’all.
First, the reality star and actor attended a dinner for designer Haider Ackermann together; a few days later, the couple were spotted cheesing in the celeb section of the U.S. Open, watching Novak Djokovic take on Daniil Medvedev. Not exactly a quiet, under-the-radar spot to be seen, so it seems like they’re just fine letting the world know they’re spending time together. (I mean, they did make out on camera at the concert.)

Throughout the game, Jenner and Chalamet sat with their arms around each other and repeatedly kissed, with Chalamet snapping film photos of his rumored girlfriend and Jenner also playing with her rumored boyfriend’s hair as they watched the court action. Ah, l’amour.
Well, folks, it’s official — Jenner and Chalamet are definitely a thing. The pair were spotted together at the September 4 Renaissance Tour stop in Los Angeles, first chatting casually and then cuddling and kissing in the VIP section. Yep, you read that right: cuddling and kissing. TMZ shared pics and videos of the duo looking very comfortable together indeed, and while we still don’t have concrete proof that they’re together-together (as in, a confirmation or denial from Jenner, Chalamet or their reps), these videos are certainly a compelling argument for Kylothée.
On August 2, Life & Style reported that Chalamet “dumped” Jenner after seven months of dating. “She’s telling people that things between them naturally fizzled out because they’re both busy and traveling,” said the magazine’s source, “Kylie is playing it casual, but her friends know this must sting.”
However, only a few hours later, TMZ published their own report that shut down those very Kylothée breakup rumors, calling the story one that “couldn’t be further from the truth.” According to “multiple sources close to the couple,” Jenner and Chalamet are avoiding the public eye intentionally; their relationship is private, not over. One of TMZ’s sources claimed “any reports that say otherwise are false,” while another advised the public “not to believe everything they read.” Well, then.
Jenner’s ex Travis Scott released his long-awaited fourth studio album Utopia on July 28, and may have weighed in on her new relationship via the the seventh track “Meltdown” featuring Drake. Scott’s song references Willy Wonka — the very character Chalamet will portray onscreen later this year: “Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs (Vs), got the Willy Wonka factory (Vs) / Burn a athlete like it’s calories, find another flame hot as me, b*tch.” It might not the most compelling diss of all time, but it certainly doesn’t feel like a coincidence.
Jenner and Scott have had an on-again, off-again relationship for years; they have been co-parenting Stormi and Aire since their latest split in early 2023. “Kylie knows she and Travis will always be in each other’s lives, and they have an amazing coparenting relationship,” a source previously shared of the former couple. “Part of her dating Timothée is in hopes of moving on from Travis, but that hasn’t happened yet. There’s always a possibility of reconciling with Travis at some point.”
Shortly after Coachella’s first weekend, Entertainment Tonight reported that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were actually dating, like, for real. A source confirmed the rumors to ET, revealing that the wild card couple is currently “keeping things casual” for now.
“It’s not serious, but Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes,” the source told ET. “It’s been really fun for her because it feels a lot different than her past relationships. It’s new and exciting for Kylie and she’s having a lot of fun.”
The Kardashian-Jenner family does love an unexpected boyfriend, like Kendall’s recent public — and romantic — outings with Bad Bunny, and Kim’s whirlwind romance with Pete Davidson. (Kylie and her on-again, off-again partner Travis Scott split for the second time in early 2023, several months after the birth of their son Aire.)
Social media did not take the Jenner and Chalamet news well, though. Timothée is one of the Internet’s favorite actors, a constant boyfriend-of-the-month, and rumors of his relationship with Kylie are… a shock, to say the least.
“Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet dating is even more random than Kendall and Benito?!?!?” tweeted one user. “My life is over,” wrote another. “The streets are saying Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are dating… The Jenners are collecting my men like Pokemons, signing OFF,” mourned another. Others think this could be a song and dance planted by either star’s team (cough, cough Kris Jenner) to distract the public. “I’m sorry but the Timothée and Kylie rumors have to be a cover up for something bigger,” theorized one Twitter user.
On April 13, TMZ shared photos of Jenner’s car, a black Range Rover, parked in the driveway of Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home. A day later, Page Six reported that Jenner and Chalamet were seen out on a “secret date” in L.A. at a popular taco spot. Timmy was allegedly picked up by Jenner’s driver and taken to the restaurant, and the couple reportedly ate their tacos in the backseat of her SUV. Romantic!
This led many to believe that Jenner and Chalamet would hard launch their relationship at Coachella. However, while Jenner was in attendance with her besties Fai Khadra and sister Kendall Jenner, Chalamet was not.
“Kylie decided she didn’t want to make things public with Timothée this past weekend at Coachella,” a source told ET, “and really just wanted to chill and have fun with her friends.” The source also seemed to suggest that Jenner and Chalamet met through mutual friends — one mutual friend in particular. “Timothée is also friends with Kendall,” said the source, “so it’s been easy for Kylie to integrate him into her life.”
The dating rumors first caught fire during the first week of April via the celebrity gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi, which was lit up with anonymous tips about the potential coupling, including aforementioned rumors that the two would be attending Coachella 2023 together. While people claimed they had seen them together or have insider knowledge, nothing has been acknowledged, confirmed, or denied by Jenner or Chalamet. (Representatives for Kylie and Timothée did not respond to Teen Vogue‘s request for comment.)

Despite being only 22, Billie Eilish has solidified herself as a seasoned pro in the music industry. But with the rise of other women pop artists this year, Eilish is feeling anything but envious of their success.
In a recent expansive interview with the Los Angeles Times, alongside her brother and collaborator Finneas, the two spoke about pop stardom and growing as musicians under the spotlight, among other things. But while they’ve continued to dominate, with multiple Grammys, two Oscars, and a chart-topping album that came out this year (Hit Me Hard and Soft), there has been a surge in other talent this year as well.
Pop stars including Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter have suddenly become household names, while Charli XCX has experienced a career-high with her album Brat. When asked if she felt threatened by any of these other artists, Eilish immediately shut the notion down.
“Are you kidding me?” Eilish responded. “I’m so happy for these bitches.”
She continued: “It’s a crazy world when you get to the level they’re experiencing right now, and they’re doing great. Fans are drawn to them because they’re f***ing awesome.”
Eilish was also part of “Brat Summer” after she was featured on the remix of Charli XCX’s song “Guess.”
The interview also touched on toxic super fandom and the ongoing discourse about having boundaries with people ever since Chappell Roan began speaking openly about fans stalking her and fame making her uncomfortable. Eilish and Finneas have had several years to adjust to the extreme fans, but also mentioned that any sense of boundaries has “been lost.”
“You look back at the Beatles, and it’s the same thing,” Finneas said. “It’s just that everybody has a camera now.”
Eilish added: “You have to remember when you’re everybody’s new favorite artist that it’s a big deal for them. It’s like seeing Bigfoot.”
As Billie Eilish embraces the new faces of pop music, she also reflected on the icons she drew inspiration from herself. She and Finnease said they spent a night watching old Avril Lavigne music videos when they realized how much Eilish was impacted by the artist.
“I was like, ‘This is so me,’” she said. “She was one of the first women who was dressing kind of like a boy, and I was so drawn to that. She’s the coolest.”

If you’re like us and spent the first half of fall watching Nobody Wants This on Netflix, you’ve probably been combing the internet for season 2 news — and likely not in a calm and collected way. Well, now you can rest: Netflix has officially renewed the series for a second season

The new miniseries starring The O.C. star Adam Brody as “Hot Rabbi” Noah Roklov and Veronica Mars star and OG Gossip Girl narrator Kristen Bell as agnostic sex podcaster Joanne is making major rounds among rom-com aficionados all around the world. Spanning 10 quasi-hour-long episodes, Nobody Wants This centers on the two star-crossed lovers’ instant connection as they try to make things work even when the universe — or, well, in this case, religion — tells them they shouldn’t.
Towards the end of the season, things were looking up for Noah and Joanne, but, of course, a last-minute twist made every single watcher manifest a second season, and our prayers were answered. Is Nobody Wants This season 2 happening?
On October 10, Netflix finally greenlit Nobody Wants This season 2, exactly two weeks after the series’ official premiere on September 26, 2024. Judging by viewers’ reaction to Nobody Wants This and critic scores (the series boasts a 93% fresh certification on Rotten Tomatoes), the possibility of a second season seemed strong.

Season 1 of Nobody Wants This ended with a bit of a cliffhanger after Joanne and her sister and podcast companion Morgan (played by Justine Lupe) crash Noah’s niece’s Bat Mitzvah after learning Noah’s ex had lied to them about keeping in touch.
The NYC-themed Bat Mitzvah was a rollercoaster, to put it bluntly, with Joanne making the choice to convert to Judaism and be with Noah freely, only to backtrack a few minutes after after learning about the responsibility a Rabbi’s wife carries.
Joanne gave Noah an ultimatum to pick, and the last we see of him, he decided to chase her, following a bus on foot to kiss her. While the gesture is romantic, it’s also pretty inconclusive, so we assume Nobody Wants This season 2 would pick up right where we left off or at least shortly after to paint the full picture.
Speaking to IndieWire, series creator Erin Foster, who looked to her own life for inspo to pen the show, already teased how the story could potentially go. “The story in Season 1 unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season 2 I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves. I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!” Foster said.

It’s time to book your flight to Genovia – on 15 November 2022, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that a brand new Princess Diaries film was officially in the works at Disney, and now, we finally have confirmation that it will feature our very own awkward high schooler-turned-monarch, Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway).
It’s welcome news for fans of the franchise who’ve been waiting over two decades for its third instalment, though rumours of another sequel have been swirling for years. Back in 2016, Garry Marshall, the director of the first film and its delightful follow-up The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, discussed the possibility of a third film, but plans were temporarily shelved following his death later that year. Talks slowly resumed over the next few years and during a TV appearance in 2019, Hathaway teased that there was in fact a script for the next film. “I want to do it, Julie [Andrews] wants to do it, Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it,” she said. “We all really want it to happen, it’s just we don’t want to do it unless it’s perfect, because we love it just as much as you guys love it.”
So, it was, of course, only a matter of time before the Oscar winner’s presence was confirmed. She shared the long-awaited update on Instagram, captioning the post: “Miracles happen”.
She’ll be joined by Debra Martin Chase, a veteran of the first two films, who’ll be taking on producing duties; The High Note’s Flora Greeson, who’s penning the script; and Adele Lim, the director of Joy Ride and co-writer of Crazy Rich Asians, who will be helming the new project. Also, to quell the fears of purists, sources have added that the film will be a continuation of the existing series rather than a reboot.
