Olivia Rodrigo is just coming off a global tour and the premiere of her Netflix tour movie, but that doesn’t mean her schedule is slowing down. While we’d be in sweats 24/7 after traveling the world and doing 95 shows, Rodrigo still has to-dos on her schedule and has to dress the part.
The star is keeping busy even while off the road, and when she stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, we couldn’t help but notice something really different — and really cool — about her dress. Spoiler alert: It’s basically like a whole bunch of grommeted “belts” tied together in one bright red mini style.
While appearing on the talk show, Rodrigo donned the strappy red mini dress from Belgian designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s spring-summer 2025 collection. The shiny, latex-y dress was composed of strips of fabric studded with circular silver grommets, which were tied together with red string. While they’re not actually belts, the fabric strips do bear a striking resemblance to the classic pop-punk grommet belt — you know the one!
The dress had a low, sweetheart-shaped bodice and hit at mid-thigh, with the last strip hanging loose to the side for an edgier detail. Rodrigo wore it a pair of translucent wedge sandals and stuck to her signature glam, including long, loose hair, black nails, and a glossy red lip a few shades lighter than the fire-engine red of the dress. She completed the look with a black mani and a red pedi.
The Ludovic de Saint Sernin dress is an Olivia Rodrigo piece if we’ve ever seen one. Whether she’s onstage, on the red carpet, or hanging out in NYC, the star’s personal style is a little bit Gen Z and a little bit ‘90s grunge. She loves plaid, chunky boots, mini dresses, and slip dresses, and even owns a vintage dress from the ultimate ’90s It Girl, Chloe Sevigny, which she scored at the star’s closet sale. She always looks super cool, but effortlessly so, and this little red mini dress is the perfect example of her rocker-girl-goes-glam vibe.

Tonight, the 2024 CFDA Awards red carpet served as a fashion playground for celebrities in attendance. As A-listers clocked in for duty at the annual ceremony, which celebrates the most innovative and creative American designers of the year, they committed to sporting bold designs—many of them attending as guests of the nominated designers, and serving as their muses for the evening. The best dressed stars of the night? Those who embodied the theme of the CFDAs—which is to embrace individuality, have a point-of-view, and yes, take risks.
Take Erykah Badu, who was awarded the Fashion Icon Award—in a look that was worthy of the title, no less. Wearing custom Thom Browne, Badu hit the carpet in his signature tailoring, though she couldn’t help giving it a cool, slouchy edge and completing the look with a theatrical gemstone headpiece. There is simply no one doing it like her. Do yourself a favor and look back on some of her best fashion moments here). Equally as head turning, was Kylie Jenner in her spiked-skirt gown by Haider Ackermann for Jean Paul Gaultier, which first debuted on the spring 2023 couture runway. Leave it to Jenner, a lover of archival fashion, to look back a few seasons and pull from one of the buzziest collaborations of recent times.
Trend-wise. black gowns certainly dominated the evening—though that didn’t mean it was boring. In fact, quite the contrary. Supermodel of the moment Alex Consani stood out in her Area Couture dress, which featured hand cutouts embracing her like a hug. The men shined, too: Troye Sivan put a fresh twist on suiting up, thanks to his Tanner Flecher lace camisole; Danny Ramirez also slipped into a baggy, wide-leg suit from Willy Chavarria. No boring tuxedos here!
Below, see all of the best dressed stars from the 2024 CFDA Awards.

As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, the fashion world is buzzing with excitement over The Fall 2024 Color Trends. This season, green is stealing the spotlight, with two standout shades making waves: Charli XCX’s vibrant Brat Green and Kamala Harris’s energizing Lime-Green Glow. Let’s dive into these captivating colors and explore how they’re setting the tone for fall fashion!
First up is Brat Green, a color that’s all about fun and flair, championed by none other than pop icon Charli XCX. This eye-catching shade of green is more than just a trend; it embodies a playful spirit that’s perfect for making a statement. Whether you’re dressing up for a night out or looking to add a splash of color to your everyday wardrobe, Brat Green is the way to go.
You might spot Brat Green in various fashion collections this season, from dresses to accessories. Designers are embracing its boldness, using it to create stunning ensembles that turn heads. It’s a shade that literally pops, making it ideal for those who want to stand out in a crowd. Imagine a chic Brat Green blazer paired with classic black pants or a flirty dress that demands attention at any gathering—this color is your go-to for a confident, vibrant look.
Next on our green journey is Lime-Green Glow, inspired by none other than Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. This lively shade exudes freshness and vitality, making it a perfect choice for the fall season. With a brightness that feels almost electrifying, Lime-Green Glow is all about bringing energy and enthusiasm to your wardrobe.
Fashion shows have been showcasing this vibrant hue, and it’s quickly being adopted by designers across the board. Imagine walking into a room wearing a Lime-Green Glow dress or a chic top; you’re bound to light up the space. This color not only enhances your outfit but also uplifts your mood—who wouldn’t want that?
What’s exciting about The Fall 2024 Color Trends is how these shades of green can be mixed and matched with other colors. While Brat Green and Lime-Green Glow are stunning on their own, they also pair beautifully with neutrals like beige, white, and black. For a more daring look, consider combining them with contrasting colors like deep purple or electric blue for a fashion-forward statement.
For example, a Brat Green skirt can be paired with a crisp white blouse for a fresh daytime look, while a Lime-Green Glow jacket can add a dynamic touch to a classic black outfit. Don’t shy away from experimenting with accessories either—think green handbags, shoes, or even statement jewelry that can elevate your entire ensemble.
The rise of these vibrant shades is part of a broader trend in the fashion industry. Designers are pushing boundaries this season, opting for bold and unexpected combinations that breathe new life into classic styles. Gone are the days of muted tones dominating the fall palette; this year, it’s all about making a statement.
Fashion weeks around the globe have showcased collections that embrace a riot of colors, and green is leading the charge. It’s refreshing to see designers stepping outside their comfort zones, introducing new textures and innovative designs that make use of these vibrant hues. This trend reflects a cultural shift towards embracing individuality and self-expression, allowing everyone to showcase their unique style.
The Fall 2024 season showcased the whole gamut of green. Gucci’s slime-green peacoat and McQueen by Seán McGirr’s lime mini dress were sufficiently Charli XCX-coded. Ferragamo and Chloé leaned more unsaturated and integrated olive thigh-high boots (a leading fall 2024 shoe trend) and cozy coats in tartan army green throughout their collections.
J.Crew Cashmere Shrunken Crewneck Sweater
Quilted Corduroy Contrast Jacket
New Balance Green 2002R Sneakers
MM6 Maison Margiela Green Classic Triangle Crossbody Tote
Banana Republic Merino Mini Sweater Dress
MICHAEL Michael Kors Cotton Anorak Jacket
So, how can you incorporate these stunning shades of green into your wardrobe this fall? Here are some practical tips to get you started:
As we dive into The Fall 2024 Color Trends, it’s clear that green is the color of the season. With Charli XCX’s Brat Green and Kamala Harris’s Lime-Green Glow leading the charge, boldness and vibrancy are taking center stage. Whether you’re dressing up for an event or simply looking to refresh your everyday wardrobe, these shades are sure to bring a lively touch to your fall outfits.
So, get ready to embrace the green and make your wardrobe pop this fall! With these tips and trends in mind, you’ll be well on your way to creating stunning looks that reflect the energy and excitement of the season. Happy styling!

The annual Academy Museum Gala is one of the most star-studded events in Hollywood, and last night’s affair—held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles—certainly lived up to that reputation. Celebrities including Ariana Grande, Ayo Edebiri, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez, Eddie Redmayne, and Greta Lee all walked the step and repeat in their finest evening wear—delivering a seriously impressive red carpet. But the best dressed of the bunch were the A-listers who leaned into a sense of refinement: choosing polished designs with modern flourishes.
Take Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Grande shined in a (Glinda-worthy) pink and white polka-dotted Balmain number with a fitted bodice, based on an archival design. Erivo, meanwhile, did Elphaba green in her fitted Louis Vuitton strapless number. Speaking of duos, sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner also turned heads on the carpet in their slinky black gowns: Kylie opted for a vintage Mugler gown from 1998, while Kendall donned fresh-off-the-runway Schiaparelli. Kaia Gerber also opted for vintage, wearing a black beaded creation from the Givenchy fall 1997 collection.
Some of the best-dressed gents, on the other hand? Eddie Redmayne stood out in his polka-dotted suit, as did Jaden Smith in his studded Louis Vuitton tuxedo and Colman Domingo in his Valentino robe coat with red trousers. Others went more classic, like Paul Mescal in his black Gucci tuxedo.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is officially coming back. Many of us grew up watching the ostentatious display of performed femininity, thinness, and whimsy, as the world’s most powerful supermodels strutted alongside pop talents like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande. What first started in 1995 as a tactical annual promotional show for the lingerie brand, became one of the most prominent tentpoles of the cultural zeitgeist. Receiving the title of Victoria’s Secret “angel” meant more than just wearing the wings (and getting a massive contract), you were solidifying yourself in pop culture history, never to be forgotten.
But then in 2018, it all ended.
In November of that year, Ed Razek, the company’s then chief of marketing was met with extreme backlash after suggesting that trans women could not be Victoria’s Secret supermodels. He referred to them using an offensive and outdated term—telling Vogue, they could not cast trans women because “the show is a fantasy.” Razek later apologized for the comments, noting that trans women had “attempted” to audition for the show in the past, but that “it was never about gender.” Razek faced criticism for similar comments regarding plus-size models, stating they had not attempted to do a show for them since 2000 since there was “no viewer interest.” Razek resigned in August 2019.
After that, the VS runway show was placed on a shelf, like many early 2000s phenoms that refused to catch up to the current times. After an array of brands like Savage X Fenty, Parade, Aerie, and Skims made their way to the forefront — boasting size diversity and inclusion as one of their main pillars — Victoria’s Secret decided they’d give their brand another chance. This initial return was met with similar dismay as they decided to play it safe, returning with a better range of size diversity but with none of its original allure.
Now, the show is set to return on October 15, original supermodel Tyra Banks will host, and the internet is wondering if this return to its OG stars will also mean a return to the glamour and big wings, with, hopefully, a lot more diversity.
We talked to the Teen Vogue team about their thoughts on the return of the show and if it even feels worth watching after all these years.
Mandy Velez Tatti, Associate Director of Audience Development & Analytics
“I was in college when young people, millennials, in particular, started to voice discomfort with the VSFS. I remember it used to be a whole “event” that would entail group watch parties and chats. These women’s bodies were unattainable for the average person but we accepted that: Victoria’s Secret Angels are the epitome of thinness and perfection. Water is wet. It just was a juxtaposition that existed, and to be honest, for a while that was part of the lore. I liked seeing the insanely thin bodies, in a sideshow kind of way. I also liked the fanfare of it all and hearing about the wild diets that I wish I could follow but never could. I also just liked seeing the cool wings. Sure, it came at the cost of feeling like shit about myself for a day, but it also felt like culture. But around this time, concurrently around the same time as the social-driven “body positivity movement” (which in itself was flawed but that’s a conversation for another story), we all kinda had a moment of like, this is…not normal. Why are we celebrating it? Now I have a better understanding of the ethos of the brand, its management, and the culture that enabled a very monolithic show like that to happen in the first place. I’m skeptical of the show’s return. At the same time, the way that Abercrombie reinvented itself, I’m open to the idea that VS can, too. But if it doesn’t, count me out.”
Catherine Mhloyi, Associate Manager, Creative Development
“Victoria, sweetie, if you want to make it work, you have to remember that this is for the girls. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen people online say that Victoria’s Secret can’t be inclusive and sell “the fantasy”, but what is the fantasy but divine femininity? Even with all its flaws, the old Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show always felt like a celebration of women. Nothing about these models walking down the runway in drag-esque lingerie looks gave “this is for men”. The Twitter incels predicting that the start of inclusivity would signal the end of fanfare and reverie is unfortunate because they were never the target audience. You mean to tell me you can’t give Adriana Lima-level opulence with feathers and opera gloves, and garter belts (oh my!) with Geena Rocero? Give us Precious Lee in a divine corset doing a Naomi Campbell walk down a glittering runway. Let Sabrina Carpenter serenade us to “Bed Chem” as Nicola Coughlan shows off a matching fembot nightgown, followed by Yumi Nu, Anok Yai, Sasha Colby, Julia Fox, and so on. Feel free to steal this idea by the way.”
Aiyana Ishmael, Associate Editor
“I grew up watching the Victoria’s Secret runway show. I was 5-foot-10 in the fourth grade and often got comments that I should “be a model,” so I was obsessed with all things runway from a very young age. Whether it was a fashion magazine, ANTM, or the VS Show, I was tuned in. But I often found myself confused when I’d receive those model comments because as I stared passionately at the angels on my screen, none of them even slightly resembled me. How could I “be a model” when none of the models I saw looked like me? I soon gave up on the idea and allowed myself to believe that not everyone was meant to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel, myself included. As a lover of fashion and a co-signer of the IYKYK ideal, I cannot say that I believe everyone needs to be involved in everything. But, when it comes to a major retail brand sold across the country like VS, they should be for everyone. You cannot exist broadly in an almost overconsumption sales frame and try to be exclusive. It’s hypocritical and a brand identity issue. VS, sold at every local mall near you, should be highlighting its customers, not trying to sell an unattainable image like it once did in the 2000s. And that focus on inclusivity doesn’t mean you have to get rid of the sex appeal and feathery fun it originated with. All bodies deserve to wear gorgeous, larger-than-life wings. So while for the last few years I’ve been very disinterested in the VS brand, if next week they brought back the original show, bold glamour makeup looks, oversized wings, and an assortment of bodies strutting down the runway as Cher and Tyla serenade the room, I’d turn on the television and let them cook for a minute — but they still only get sixty seconds from me.”
Amalie McGowan, Manager, Creative Development
“If Victoria’s Secret had wanted to stay relevant they would have needed to make their show like Chromat’s years ago. Radically inclusive. Throw in some It people (Richie Shazam, Charli, etc.) and you’ve got a brand that’s remaking itself. It could have had the Abercrombie comeback…but to be honest I think it’s too late.”
Emily Zirimis, Art Director
“I have visceral memories of walking through Victoria’s Secret at the local mall with my mom in the early to mid-2000s, specifically the PINK section. If I’m not mistaken, the biggest size they carried at the time was a large–so if/when I was able to find something that fit, it was typically something that ran “oversized”. Even with my disappointment around the limited size range, I still wanted so much to fit in and to be a part of the sexy, whimsical, bubblegum world that was the VS phenomenon. While I have graduated to other brands all these years later, my sentiments remain the same–I am still the 14-year-old so eagerly wanting to be a part of something –– to feel accepted, and to feel like I can participate too. We’re not asking for perfection, we’re just asking for the ability to participate, which feels pretty bare minimum to me. That is what I hope to see/feel at the upcoming VS show.”
Skyli Alvarez, Editorial Assistant
“I have a permanent image in my brain of Cara Delevingne decked out in pink stripes, glittery pinwheel in hand, as Justin Bieber sings and smolders behind her. I love a good spectacle, and the more absurdly theatrical, the better. I’m eager to see how (and if) the upcoming show revives the glamour, the maximalism, and the fun of it all, with a long-overdue inclusion of body and racial diversity that doesn’t feel forced. Ready for veteran Angels and new faces, plus the range of that performance lineup! Farewell Bieber, hiiii Cher and Tyla.”

This past summer belonged to Charli xcx. The British singer’s album brat, released in early June, sent out a bat signal (or, perhaps, a brat signal), encouraging fans to be their most feral selves- to be 365 party girls, to be messy and unapologetic. As summer faded into fall, many wondered what would come next. But as a sea of chartreuse began to close in on Madison Square Garden hours before Charli and Troye Sivan were set to take the stage on their Sweat Tour, it became clear that the craze isn’t going anywhere.
What makes an outfit brat exactly? Charli’s stylist Chris Horan weighs in: “Anything bitchy and never anything too perfect,” he tells Vogue. While there was no shortage of “brat green,” others got into the spirit with quippy slogan tees, lingerie, chunky silver jewelry, chainmail, chaps, furry boots, and bloomers galore.
Concertgoers took that directive to heart. Some people leaned into the DIY spirit, like Kelley Heyer, who created the viral “Apple” dance, which she performed live during the song. “This is a skirt that I thrifted, and I bedazzled it with a brat tramp stamp on the back,” she says of her black pleated micro-mini. But some attendees went full-throttle on the fashion in Diesel, Acne Studios, Balenciaga, Heaven, by Marc Jacobs, and Rick Owens. Lawson Taylor accessorized custom Eleen Halvorsen chaps and a corset with a neon green Balenciaga Le City bag and Rick Owens boots. Meanwhile, Bridget Shurdod purchased her entire outfit for the occasion, inspired by the singer’s Acne-heavy wardrove. “I went because I saw all the looks that [Charli] was doing for the tour,” she says.
The bratty energy continued inside. Second Daughter Ella Emhoff dutifully performed the “Apple” dance in a knit “brat” beanie (Secret Service, however, declined to participate) while Troye Sivan himself hit the stage in custom Pandora “sweat” chains. Later on in the show, Lorde joined Charli to work it out on the remix wearing matching looks from Saint Laurent’s über sexy fall 2024 collection.
“It’s incredible to be a small part of a huge cultural moment,” Horan says. “It is also so rewarding to see any sort of Charli’s style reflected back in people’s looks. I think the most important aspect is Charli herself though-she’s a beacon for all of us during a time where we are tired of artists trying to appeal to everyone.”

As Louis Vuitton unveiled its spring-summer 2025 collection, Stray Kids’ Felix was notably absent. While the show must go on, both fans and fashion goers understandably missed the K-pop idol’s presence at Paris Fashion Week.
It’s understandable. Since becoming an ambassador for the French luxury fashion brand in 2023, Felix has made his mark at its live events. Last season, Felix made his runway debut at the Louis Vuitton PFW show, which he later went on to call one of the happiest moments in his life. And even though he was just a front-row guest at the Cruise 2025 show, he still gained attention for his prince-like look.
Just as much as the fans and brand enjoy seeing Felix, the rapper himself has talked about his appreciation for the opportunities. In a recent interview, he shared what his experience as a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton has been like.
Felix Yong Bok attending the Louis Vuitton Men’s pre-fall 2024 fashion show on November 30, 2023 in Hong Kong.
However, Feliz wasn’t able to make it this time. In a video shared to Louis Vuitton’s Instagram channel, LV Circle, Felix explained that he sadly couldn’t go to Paris for the show, but he would be watching from afar. He shared that he was looking forward to it and wished creative director Nicolas Ghesquière good luck.

The family behind the luxury brand Chanel and the billionaire heiress of L’Oréal have acquired a stake in The Row, the fashion label founded by the Olsen sisters.
According to sources familiar with the situation, who requested anonymity due to the private nature of the matter, the Wertheimer brothers, through their family office Mousse Partners, and Francoise Bettencourt Meyers’ investment firm, Tethys Invest, have purchased a minority stake in the brand. Additionally, Imaginary Ventures, co-founded by fashion entrepreneur Natalie Massenet, and Saint Dominique Capital, backed by businesswoman Lauren Santo Domingo, are also investing in The Row. The Olsen sisters will remain the majority shareholders, with the deal valuing the company at approximately $1 billion.
Representatives for Mousse, Tethys, The Row, Imaginary Ventures, and Saint Dominique declined to comment.
Founded in 2006 by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who gained fame as child stars in the sitcom Full House, The Row has established itself as a respected player in the quiet luxury sector, showcasing its collections during Paris Fashion Week. The brand is known for its leather handbags, such as the Margaux, which can retail for around $7,000.
Last year, Mousse, led by Charles Heilbronn, half-brother of Alain and Gerard Wertheimer, was part of a consortium of France’s wealthiest families that helped take Rothschild & Co. private.
The Chanel family office has also invested in various startups, including Brightside Health, digital advertising firm Brandtech Group, biotechnology company Evolved by Nature, and healthcare provider Thirty Madison. Alain and Gerard Wertheimer’s fortunes are each estimated at around $43 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
The Bettencourt Meyers family’s Tethys has notably invested in French fashion label Sézane and Ceva Santé, which produces pharmaceuticals and vaccines for livestock and pets. Bettencourt Meyers’ wealth stems from her controlling interest in L’Oréal SA, where her family holds 34.73% of the shares. Her fortune is estimated at approximately $84 billion.
Imaginary Ventures, founded in 2017 by Massenet, known for launching luxury e-commerce site Net-a-Porter, and Nick Brown, aims to “support the most exciting businesses across the consumer landscape.” Santo Domingo is a co-founder of Moda Operandi, an online luxury fashion retailer.
The Row generated buzz earlier this year by requesting guests to refrain from using phones at its fashion show, preventing instant social media posts and creating an aura of exclusivity. Its upcoming spring/summer collection is set to be unveiled on September 25 in Paris.
