The 2026 Emmy Nominations Are Finally Here: From Zendaya’s Return to the Ultimate ‘Heated Rivalry’ Tea!

Wake up, pop culture besties, because the television event of the year is officially rolling out its red carpet! The Emmy Nominations for 2026 have finally dropped, and to say we are absolutely seated for this upcoming awards season would be a massive understatement. On July 8, 2026, actors Jeff Hiller and Liza Colón-Zayas went live on the Television Academy website to give us the full, juicy rundown of who is in the running for the 78th Emmy Awards.

Honoring the absolute best in television that graced our screens during the eligibility window of June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, this year’s lineup is packed with our favorite style icons, viral screen queens, and a healthy dose of internet drama.

But before we even dive into the nominees, can we talk about the host? The iconic Mariska Hargitay is officially emceeing the September ceremony! Not only is she a literal Emmy winner and an eight-time nominee herself, but this also marks the first time a woman has hosted the Emmys in 15 years. Talk about major girlboss energy to kick off the festivities.

Spilling the Tea: The Heated Rivalry Eligibility Drama

If you’ve been scrolling through X (formerly Twitter) or TikTok lately, you already know the internet has been in a literal uproar over one major omission from the Emmy Nominations list. We are, of course, talking about Heated Rivalry. The smash-hit series and its incredibly talented cast were completely left off the ballot, and fans were ready to riot.

Well, we finally have the official tea on what went down. It turns out it wasn’t a snub from the voters, but a strict compliance issue. Because Heated Rivalry is a Crave production based entirely in Canada, it didn’t meet the Television Academy’s strict domestic guidelines. An Emmys spokesperson cleared the air, stating that foreign productions are ineligible unless they are a distinct financial and creative co-production between US and foreign partners established before filming begins.

Fingers crossed the producers sort this out for season two, because we need to see this cast get their flowers! Fortunately, star Connor Storrie still managed to grab a piece of the Emmy glory this year, landing a stellar Guest Actor in a Comedy Series nod for his hilarious stint on Saturday Night Live.

The Ultimate Muse Showdown: Zendaya, the Fanning Sisters, and More

Over at D-Muse Magz, we are always tracking the ultimate fashion and screen muses, and this year’s Emmy Nominations did not disappoint.

First up, the queen of the red carpet herself, Zendaya, is back in the spotlight! She secured a highly coveted nod for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her breathtaking work in Euphoria. You already know we are anticipating whatever jaw-dropping, high-fashion archival look she chooses to pull out for the red carpet this September. She will be facing off against some fierce competition, including Chase Infiniti for The Testaments and Keri Russell for The Diplomat.

We are also witnessing a historic sibling moment! Both of the iconic Fanning sisters are nominated this year in major categories. Elle Fanning scored a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, while her sister Dakota Fanning locked down a spot for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series for All Her Fault. Talk about a talented household!
