Zendaya’s Latest Louis Vuitton Bag is a Beloved Vintage Collector’s Item
December 11, 2024
Day to day, Zendaya is seldom seen without a Louis Vuitton bag slung over her shoulder—a natural choice, given her role as an ambassador for the iconic French brand since 2023. Recently, she introduced a fresh design to her wardrobe that’s bound to catch the eye of vintage enthusiasts.
Before attending the Gotham Awards in New York on Monday night (where she dazzled in a custom Louis Vuitton gown on the red carpet), the star was spotted carrying the Louis Vuitton X Murakami side trunk. This piece features the brand’s iconic multi-colored monogram from the early 2000s. The bag is part of a re-edition series celebrating the celebrated collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, which originally debuted during Marc Jacobs’s spring/summer 2003 collection for the label.
Over 20 years later, this collaboration continues to be highly sought after by collectors, with celebrities such as Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner proudly showcasing the limited-edition pieces. However, the white monogram design—famously carried by icons like Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, and Naomi Campbell in its heyday—has largely stayed out of the spotlight, until recently.
