Whether it’s feeling starstruck when meeting icons like Rihanna (whom Rosé calls “the queen”) or seeking out friends like Charlotte Lawrence at glitzy Hollywood parties to avoid standing awkwardly alone, she stays relatable.

Before Rosé became the international star she is today, she was a preteen in Australia flipping through magazine racks and dreaming over glossy pages. When she appeared on the cover of a major Australian fashion magazine in 2021, it was a surreal milestone. “This was my first big cover for Australia,” she shares. “It was such a big moment for me because I grew up there, and being on the cover meant so much.”

Her debut at a high-profile fashion event was another unforgettable experience. While waiting in line for a video shoot, she caught a glimpse of Rihanna casually creating content. Sensing her excitement, a security guard asked if she was a fan and would like to meet Rihanna. “I was like, ‘No way!’” Rosé remembers. But when Rihanna passed by, the guard stopped her to introduce Rosé and her group. To Rosé’s amazement, Rihanna turned, took her hand, and gave her a warm hug. “I was actually sad later when I had to wash my hands,” Rosé recalls with a laugh.
