Throughout June, July, and August, artists embraced the brat summer vibe, delivering tracks to energize audiences. Now that summer is behind us, everyone is looking forward to fall.
To kick off September, numerous K-pop artists, both new and established, are launching new projects. EXO member Baekhyun returns with his fourth Korean-language solo album, TWICE’s Tzuyu is debuting as a solo artist, RIIZE is celebrating their first anniversary, and newcomers MEOVV are ready to make their mark.
There are also exciting collaborations bridging the gap between Korea and the West, such as Megan Thee Stallion featuring RM of BTS and LE SSERAFIM collaborating with PinkPantheress. In the U.S. and the U.K., collaborations abound as well, with artists like Victoria Monét and Usher, as well as Central Cee and Raye, releasing new tracks. TXT’s Yeonjun, “GGUM”
Yeonjun is launching a new era with the first solo release from a TXT member, “GGUM,” a catchy track influenced by hip-hop and EDM. Yeonjun, who co-wrote the lyrics, showcases a more experimental side in “GGUM,” utilizing autotune and distortion. He also embraces punk imagery with a striking new red hairstyle.
Nelly Furtado, 7
Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado returns with her seventh studio album, aptly titled 7. This 14-track album features previously released singles “Love Bites” with Tove Lo and SG Lewis, as well as “Corazón” with Bomba Estéreo, and introduces new collaborations with artists like Charlotte Day Wilson, Gray Hawken, and Blxckie.
Cher, Forever Fan
Shortly after being announced as a headliner for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024 on October 15 alongside BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Tyla, Cher released her compilation album Forever Fan, featuring remastered versions of her biggest hits, including the first digital release of her 1974 track “A Woman’s Story.”
GloRilla, “Hollon”
After much anticipation, GloRilla has released her new single “Hollon,” offering a preview of her upcoming debut album titled Glorious, set to drop on October 11, 2024. Alongside “Hollon,” the album will also feature the previously released track “TGIF.” GloRilla teased on X, “This and ‘TGIF’ are just a taste of all the 🔥🔥🔥 we have coming!!”
aespa, “Supernova (Grimes remix)”
Grimes is back with a K-pop remix, this time reinventing aespa’s hit “Supernova.” The Canadian artist adds her hyperpop flair to this track from aespa’s first studio album Armageddon, released in May.
Jamie xx, In Waves
British producer Jamie xx returns with his new solo album In Waves, nearly a decade after his last release, In Colour. This album features 12 dance-heavy tracks, including collaborations with fellow The xx member Romy, Oliver Sim, Honey Dijon, Kelsey Lu, Robyn, and others.
P1Harmony, “SAD SONG”
P1Harmony has dropped their seventh mini-album, Sad Song, led by the title track. The upbeat song incorporates Latin rhythms, showcasing the group’s rapping and harmonizing over a salsa-inspired backdrop. The album features seven tracks that explore various genres, including reggae, and includes the group’s first unit track from Intak and Jongseob.
Kavinsky, Angèle, Phoenix, “Nightcall”
Following its live debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Closing Ceremony, Kavinsky, Angèle, and Phoenix have released their take on the disco classic “Nightcall,” originally written by Kavinsky and Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. This iconic track, first released in 2010, gained fame after being featured in the film Drive.
Bo Staloch, “Santa Fe”
Emerging artist Bo Staloch has unveiled his new guitar-driven single “Santa Fe,” ahead of his U.S. tour this fall with Wyatt Flores and Richy Mitch & TCM. Staloch described the song as a call to release fear and anxiety, embodying a lively spirit that encourages listeners to let go and enjoy life.

Keshi, Requiem
Houston artist Keshi has released his long-awaited sophomore album Requiem, featuring 13 emotionally charged tracks. He explained that the album is a tribute to a friend and collaborator who passed away, likening it to a classical requiem dedicated to their memory.
flowerovlove, “erase u”
Seventeen-year-old Joyce Cissé, known as flowerovlove, is back with her new single “erase u,” inspired by the theme of forbidden crushes. Co-written by Skyler Stonestreet and produced by Russell Chell, the song is the first release from her upcoming EP Ache in My Tooth.
Snow Wife, “Crazy”

MEOVV, “MEOW”
Following a series of teasers, K-pop girl group MEOVV has officially debuted with their fierce single “MEOW.” The group, consisting of Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella, is launching under YG subsidiary THEBLACKLABEL, known for producing BLACKPINK. “MEOW” features contributions from TEDDY, Claudia Valentina, Zikai, Billy Walsh, and Vince, and is produced by 24 and Jumpa.
Megan Thee Stallion feat. RM, “Neva Play”
Megan Thee Stallion has teamed up with BTS leader RM for their new track “Neva Play,” complete with a visually engaging animated music video.
Baekhyun, “Pineapple Slice”
EXO member Baekhyun has released his fourth Korean-language album, Hello, World: The 4th Mini Album, marking his first project under INB100. The title track “Pineapple Slice” draws inspiration from Wong Kar-wai’s Chungking Express and features a music video shot in Barcelona.
Central Cee and Raye, “Moi”
Central Cee has collaborated with Raye on their new track “Moi,” which blends English and French lyrics and is making waves online.
Tzuyu, “Run Away”
Tzuyu has become the latest TWICE member to go solo with her mini album abouTZU, featuring the title track “Run Away,” which incorporates a retro K-pop vibe.
