As fashion week commences in Milan, the city is in an ebullient mood. There’s plenty to look forward to this season at Milan Fashion Week: the exciting revival of Diesel by Glenn Martens, the homecoming of Bottega Veneta under new creative director Matthieu Blazy and Prada’s women’s spring/summer 2023 show, where Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons are collaborating with film director, Nicolas Winding Refn to create an immersive set.
Outside the shows, the streets of Milan are equally busy with a flurry of activity as attendees don their best outfits. Bold colours informed the atmosphere, with brightly hued blazers and patterned blouses dominating the scene. Sheer dresses and cut-out styles are also having their moment in Milan, with many pairing them with statement accessories. As the transitional season rolls around, wardrobe essentials like tailored trench coats and relaxed denim jeans continue to rule the roost too.
